How You Can Help

How to Get Involved

Proposition 72 will have a devastating impact on our economy, and could mean the difference between profit and loss, survival and failure for thousands of businesses. Here's what you can do to help:

  • Make a financial contribution. Employers are urged to make a contribution equivalent to five percent of your first year's costs of Proposition 72. If you have 200 employees or more, multiply the number of employees who work more than 100 per week by $6,803 and write us a check for five percent of that amount. Smaller employers should multiply the number of employees by $2,482. For more information, read a legal memo to donors.
  • Join the coalition. We intend to build a diverse coalition that represents every segment of California's economy. Join the campaign, and you will be provided with regular updates and information you can share with other voters.
  • Get others involved. Tell your family, friends, neighbors, employees and colleagues about the campaign against Proposition 72. Go through your accounts payable and receivable lists and send a letter with a personal note to vendors, insurance agents, banks, law firms and temp agencies asking them to get involved. Put an article in your company, association or civic group newsletter. Link to our Web site from yours. Order materials (including posters, mini-brochures and window signs) to display.
  • Most important, vote NO on Prop 72 on November 2.
